The Notre Dame Club of New York is excited and compelled to host a new series, “NDNY Beyond the Comfort Zone”. We are ND, formed and inspired to be a “force for good” in this world. In this critical time, we ask ourselves what this responsibility means for us individually and as a community. How do we transform ourselves to respond to the daunting task before us?

The NDNY Beyond the Comfort Zone series is designed with this question in mind and is intended to be a transformative journey. We will start in our own backyard by educating ourselves about the current racism issues facing Notre Dame as well as the history of anti-racism efforts at the University. From there, we will broaden our lens to examine racial and social injustices more broadly.

Our ultimate goal is to engage in a conversation within the Notre Dame community that leads to concrete actions and measurable outcomes, to make “We are ND” into a statement about our impact and not just our intentions.

-

Panel 1: "Domers Answering the Call of Anti-Racism"

This first panel will focus on the history of anti-racism efforts at ND, current student experiences, current needs, and actions being taken by those at the forefront of anti-racism efforts.

When: Thursday, July 23rd
Time: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM EST
