We’re thrilled to share some exciting news: Brooke Leiman Edwards, MA, CCC-SLP, BCS-SCF, our Director of SAY: Speech, has been named a recipient of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s (ASHA) 2026 Media Champion Award! 🎉✨

ASHA presents this award each year to media outlets, members, and others who go above and beyond to raise public awareness about communication and swallowing disorders, and about the professionals who help address them. Brooke was recognized alongside a group of contributors for their work on a new interactive exhibit about stuttering at the Planet Word Museum in Washington, D.C. Congratulations, Brooke! We’re so proud to have you leading our speech team and helping shape how the public understands and supports people who stutter. 🧡

🎉 Enrollment for SAY's Fall programs is officially open!
We're welcoming young people who stutter, ages 5–18, into a new season of free creative arts programs — SAY: DC, The My Stutter Project (online), and Confident Voices.
Through creativity, community, and connection, kids and teens build confidence, express themselves, and learn that their voices deserve to be heard. Whether you're in NYC, DC, or joining online, there's a place for your child here.
🌟 Know someone who could benefit? Share this post or encourage them to visit our website to learn more. Together, we can make sure every young person who stutters has access to the support they deserve. We can't wait to welcome everyone this fall 💙

The magic of Camp SAY wouldn't be possible without the hard work of our incredible staff. 💙
THANK YOU to our staff and leadership team for their commitment, creativity, problem-solving, and heart. From counselors to the travel team, health team, kitchen, activities, directors, DJ, photographers, videographers, office support, and the team at Morgan’s Camp, we appreciate you deeply.
We are endlessly grateful for your teamwork, dedication, and the energy you brought each day, making sure every young person felt safe, supported, and encouraged to take on new challenges.
Thank you, Camp SAY family. We miss you already! 🫶✨

💙 Camp SAY 2026 is a wrap, and what a summer it's been. For our 19th year (and second in San Antonio!), we kicked things off with a bonfire to welcome campers old and new, set intentions for the weeks ahead, and honor our seniors having their final summer with us.
We rock-climbed. We zip-lined. We made art with our hearts and shared our voices. Campers stood in their confidence and found community with other young people and adults who stutter every day, filled with courage, laughter, and the powerful sound of every voice being heard and celebrated. 🌟
We were also joined by comedian Drew Lynch and Survivor's Mitch Guerra — advocates who stutter and hung out with our campers, shared their own stories, and showed what it looks like to thrive as an adult who stutters.
To our campers: thank you for bringing your full, fearless selves and reminding us what true bravery looks like.
To our staff: THANK YOU! We couldn't do it without you.
To our parents and caregivers: thank you for trusting us with your remarkable kids.
To our donors and supporters: you made this summer possible. Our campers felt seen, supported, and proud to stutter exactly as they are.
To our seniors — we'll miss you dearly, and this community is yours for life.
We're heading home with full hearts, new friendships, and memories to last a lifetime. Until next summer: you are seen, you are heard, and you always belong here. ☀️🫶🏕️
