Precious Dreams Foundation was proud to be one of 15 honorees at the Voices of Broward County Gala, themed Capes & Courage. We’ve had the privilege of working alongside Voices for Children of Broward County through our Florida chapter, supporting youth in foster care with comfort, care, and resources to navigate their journey. Voices for Children does critical work advocating for and uplifting youth in the child welfare system, ensuring they have the support they deserve and this night was filled with the community members that stand beside them.

A special congratulations to our Florida volunteers. This recognition is a direct reflection of your commitment, compassion, and consistency. You make the work real.

Author Jessica Jimenez-Galeas recently visited the Comfort Shop to read her latest book, Tia Is My Mami. The story follows a young girl who finds comfort, stability, and a sense of home with her Tía after her mother becomes too sick to care for her. It’s a powerful and heartfelt story for youth who can relate to being raised through kinship care and the support of their community. We are grateful to Jessica for sharing her story and spending time with our youth, helping them image their own book creations and ways they can tell their story.
