It’s not news to anyone that New Yorkers have multiple crises on their hands: fossil-fueled extreme weather and pollution, unaffordable and substandard housing, and income inequality higher than any other state, to name a few.

NY Renews has a plan to address these crises head-on: our Fund Climate Campaign.

We’re launching it with a massive day of action in Albany on January 22nd. Can you join us?

It’ll be two days after inauguration, but no matter what happens on the national stage, New York has a role to play, demonstrating that climate justice legislation can be implemented by the people, for the people. The Fund Climate investment plan would put communities at the center of a just transition, improve living conditions, and stay true to the promise of New York’s Climate Law.

Today we recognize the rights of Native peoples on the land we call home. This is the unceded territory of the Munsee Lenape, Canarsee, Rockaway, Wappinger, Manahatin, Reckgawanc, Unkechaug, Matinecock, Haudenosaunee, and more.

We invite you to support Native peoples in NYC by making a gift to the Manna-hatta Fund at mannahattafund.org. All gifts go directly to the American Indian Community House , which has been a home for Native Americans in NYC for 53 years.

As Manna-hatta Fund enters its 5th year of organizing donors working towards repair between Native and non-Native people living in NYC, the American Indian Community House is in a season of renewal! AICH’s staff has grown from two to seven! Community programs are blossoming! And AICH is looking for a new home! Their 2024 fundraising goal is to reach $30,000 in monthly donations to cover the cost of rent. We invite you to join the community of +3400 Manna-hatta Fund donors!
