Guitars For Vets - New York City/Harlem

Guitar Instruction for Veterans Dan Van Buskirk, a Vietnam Veteran, has always been passionate about helping Vets. Together they started Guitars For Vets, Inc.

While Dan was taking guitar lessons from Patrick Nettesheim, he began to recognize a significant improvement with his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Dan felt that it gave him focus and a great sense of happiness. They realized that other Vets with PTSD might benefit from this "meditation in motion." That is when the idea for Guitars For Vets was born. (G4V), an all volunteer organization t

hat enhances the lives of ailing and injured Vets by providing them with free guitars and music instruction.

Congratulations to Joolie on completing her 10 lessons with instructor Richard! Joolie is serious about continuing to learn and practice her skills. She received an Epiphone Pro-1 (3/4 size) with accessories upon graduation. We couldn’t be more proud!

Let’s extend a huge congratulations to Ferris who was taught by instructor Bruce and recently completed his 10 lessons!
