There will be wars and rumors of wars, just as Jesus warned in Matthew 24:6.
But do not let this scare or trouble you. Instead, receive the perfect peace that Jesus promises us. As He said in John 14:27:
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
When we have this peace from Jesus, we can fully trust in Him. He will protect and comfort us, just as He has promised.
Make it a habit to pray every night before bed—not only for forgiveness of your sins, but also for protection, peace, and the strength to overcome them. Never leave your house without first praying for protection and guidance throughout the day. If you are serious and sincere, God will help you. The answer may not come in the way you expect, but it will be the way that draws you closer to Him and helps you truly accept His will.
We must strengthen ourselves daily in the Word of God so we can rightly discern the signs of the times. Many people today do not see what is happening, but God’s children do.
We also need this spiritual strength to recognize and reject the false christs, false prophets, and false teachers that Jesus warned us about. If we are weak in the faith or ignorant of His Word, we risk being deceived—and missing the promise of eternal life.
Get closer to God today by diligently studying His Word, as commanded in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Strive every day to be more like Jesus, so that one day you may hear these precious words from our Creator:
"His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Matthew 25:23
