The moment we've been waiting for 🐾

PAWsitive Recovery pup Scotty has officially been reunited with his loving owner after they took the brave step to seek treatment.

Reunions like this are what it's all about. Healing, hope, and second chances for both people and their pets. We're so grateful to be part of Scotty's journey home.

Charly didn’t end up like this by accident. Someone was supposed to care for him. Instead, he was neglected, abandoned and left to suffer alone on the street like he didn’t matter. It’s hard not to feel angry. No dog deserves this. Especially not a sweet, gentle soul like Charly.

Right now, Charly is still fighting for his life. We hope that one day the people who hurt him are found and held accountable. But right now, our focus has to be on something else: giving Charly the chance he was denied for far too long.

A chance to heal.
A chance to feel safe.
A chance to be loved.

Charly needs ongoing medical care to treat his severe malnutrition and rebuild his strength, and we urgently need your help to make sure he gets it. Your support will help cover his treatment, food, and recovery. It will help turn his story from one of neglect into one of hope.

Charly has already survived so much. With your help, his next chapter can finally be a happy one.

Dogspiracy is now available for streaming in the U.S. and Canada! 🐾

This powerful documentary shines a light on the hidden side of the global puppy trade. While millions of breeders and rescue shelters around the world operate responsibly, there is also a dark reality of abuse and exploitation that cannot be ignored.

Follow British veterinarian, author, and animal welfare advocate Marc Abraham as he investigates the U.S. puppy mill pipeline, canine fertility clinics, and puppy smuggling, uncovering the truth behind an industry too often kept in the shadows.

Watch, learn, and help be part of the change.

Join us for an upcoming Town Hall with The Beagle Alliance this Wednesday, May 27, at 7 PM central time, as our team shares stories from our recent trip to Spain, where we advocated for Spanish galgos and brought 15 to the U.S!. 🐾

We'll discuss the realities these gentle dogs face, the lifesaving work being done on the ground alongside our partner SOS Galgos, and the importance of global animal advocacy and rescue efforts.

We hope you'll join the conversation and learn more about how together, we can continue to be a voice for animals in need.

It’s hard to look at photos of Charly. But we can’t look away from his suffering.

Our partners found Charly alone on the street, starving, covered in ticks and too weak to stand.

He weighs just 22 pounds. A healthy golden retriever of his age should weigh nearly three times that. Every rib and bone is visible. It’s truly a miracle he is still alive.

Charly needs urgent, ongoing medical care to treat severe malnutrition, fight infection, and slowly rebuild his strength. This kind of care takes time. And it takes resources.

We urgently need your support to save Charly now. Will you help give Charly the second chance he deserves?

Bogey is playful, high-energy and loves the outdoors. He would do great with a yard or on hikes in the mountains. He's available at SPCA International.

SPCA International Turns 20!

Twenty years ago, SPCA International began with a simple but powerful goal: to create a world where animals can live free from cruelty and suffering. Back then, the team was small, but their dreams were big. No one could have imagined just how far that mission would reach.

Over the past two decades, we've helped thousands of animals in need across the globe. We've built meaningful partnerships with shelters and rescuers in so many countries. We've helped pass animal welfare laws that are making a real difference, both here in the U.S. and around the world. And along the way, we've had the privilege of meeting truly incredible people who care deeply about giving animals a better life.

From day one, SPCA International set out to make a difference. And because of compassionate supporters like you, that's exactly what we've been able to do. We're so proud of everything we've accomplished together and the community we've built along the way. But we're just getting started. We can't wait to see what the next 20 years will bring!

Happy National Rescue Dog Day!

Today, we're celebrating by sharing the story of a very special pup. We picked up a precious dog alongside our dear partner, SOS GALGOS (oficial), after he was found alone and abandoned at a gas station, without a home, a warm bed, or even a name. We named him Aragon, after the region in Spain where he was found.

Aragon was transported to SOS Galgos' facility in Barcelona, where he received the care and love he needed to begin healing. From there, he made the journey to the United States for his second chance, and today, he is in his loving forever home.

While we may never know all the hardships he endured, we do know this: his future is bright. He is safe, surrounded by compassion, and exactly where he belongs.

We're proud to support Rifugio Jill Phipps in their mission to rescue animals from slaughter and abuse, and to promote a more compassionate world!

Through a recent grant, we're helping expand and repair the sanctuary's fenced-in areas, ensuring rescued animals have the safety, space, and security they need to heal and thrive.

This work not only protects animals but also supports ongoing education efforts that inspire kinder choices for the future. We're honored to stand alongside partners creating lasting change for animals.
