Meet Jason Kazi!
Today, we are excited to introduce our Regional Fundraising Lead, Jason Kazi, who currently resides in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Growing up in Dhaka and traveling throughout Bangladesh as a cub/boy scout, he saw how limited paths could be for young girls back home, which is why he followed Mai Soli Foundation’s work for years. After 13 years in the nonprofit sector, he felt burnt out from the 9-to-5 grind and office politics, but he knew he couldn’t just walk away from mission-driven work. Around that same time, he was shifting his life narrative from survival to pure empowerment, breaking free from toxic relationships even though it meant distancing himself from people he had known for a very long time. Stepping into the Regional Fundraising Lead role has allowed Jason to channel that personal healing and professional expertise into pure purpose.
Now, he is so excited to build a powerhouse network of Mai Soli supporters and allies in the Washington, D.C. area, leading up to a fundraising gala in the near future, helping these girls break the cycle of child marriage and transform their communities.
