Gibney Company invites artists to join our upcoming audition process for full-time Artistic Associate positions for the 2026–2027 Season.

Annual Salary Range
52-Week Contract
$48,438 - $69,576

Video submissions open November 5 and close December 5, 2025.

After reviewing all submissions, selected artists will be invited to attend an in-person audition at Gibney Dance in New York City on January 17, 2026.

We look forward to connecting with dancers who share Gibney’s belief in movement as a space for creativity, dialogue, and community.

Last night, our Artistic Associates graced the stage one final time with our Up Close series: An Evening of Johan Inger ✨ With a company premiere of RAIN DOGS, a world premiere of WHEN IT WAS and a classic BLISS, it was an unforgettable program.

This week was filled with bold humanity, rigor and visionary energy, and we want to thank you for joining us for this remarkable run. Together, we are building a community through art and movement — and we couldn’t be more grateful for your presence and support!

Last week, the Artistic Associates had their final studio rehearsal before taking the stage this week at New York Live arts for Up Close: An Evening with Johan Inger.

Opening this week, Gibney Company presents a program that moves from gritty, poetic intensity to luminous joy. Inger’s raw meditation RAIN DOGS, set to the unmistakable voice of Tom Waits, and audience favorite BLISS, danced to Keith Jarrett’s legendary Köln Concert, are bridged by the world premiere of WHEN IT WAS, a work created for Gibney Company described by Inger as “an elegy for beauty remembered, and for what slips away.”
