History:
Teens for Choice was founded in February of 2012 by a small group of concerned and determined sophomore high school students. Teens for Choice conducted several needs assessments for a variety of neighborhoods in New York City including Elmhurst, Kew Garden Hills and Rego Park. The organization started by communicating with other organizations centered on reproductive rights. After our experience on Capitol Hill and examining state and federal legislation, Teens for Choice decided to focus on the reproductive rights of minors (16-18 years of age). The founding members of Teens for Choice was determined to represent the voice of minors. Teens for Choice is based in New York City. The organization started by reaching out and gaining support from local senators and congressmen.
