For those who know Garo Alexanian, this is startling and sad news. Garo has spent decades providing low cost veterinary services to cash strapped pet owners. We wish Garo has a speedy recovery and our condolences to the veterinarian who died, along with his canine patient, inside the mobile van

Investigators were looking into whether the people working in the van didn’t have proper ventilation as the generator ran, police sources said.

It's January, meaning the ACC will hold a semi-annual board meeting. If you follow ACC's page, you know that ACC shelters are bursting at the seams with animals, some held in inhumane conditions. Nothing has changed since the last board meeting, and the one before that, and the one before that, and so forth. Join us on January 21st to hear ACC's latest spin on what needs to be done.

ACC is overflowing with cats! We currently have over 400 cats in our care, with another 40+ arriving from a recent hoarding case. If you've been thinking about adopting, now's the time! Stop by one of our Care Centers during adoption hours and meet your new Boroughbred feline friend! View all pets available for adoption at nycacc.app.

Interested in fostering instead? Our next Cat Foster Orientation is on Sunday, October 26, with a special focus on Spirit Cats - shy companions who prefer quiet homes. They may keep to themselves, but their presence still brings calm, comfort, and companionship. Learn more at nycacc.org/foster.
