José Meléndez is widely in demand as a vocal coach, conductor, and collaborative artist. His professional engagements have taken him to Europe, South and Central America, Asia, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and throughout the mainland United States. He is committed to the artistic development of young and emerging singers and has been associated with numerous young artist programs, competitions, and training centers. Mr. Meléndez holds a full-time position at the Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) in Philadelphia, where he is Assistant to the Music Director, Orchestra Librarian, and part of the music staff. He serves as Assistant Conductor, Collaborative Pianist, and Vocal Coach for various AVA productions and events, and he is also the Music Director of Concert Operetta Philadelphia, an organization dedicated to the performance of operetta in concert. Throughout his prolific career, Mr. Meléndez has held professional positions with Glimmerglass Opera, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Ocean City (NJ) Pops Orchestra, Connecticut Grand Opera, Bay Area Summer Opera Theater, Westminster Opera Theater, Indianapolis Opera, and Opera de Puerto Rico.

Alex Fletcher founded Fletcher Artist Management LLC in 2009. Now celebrating 15 years, the company’s holistic approach to management is centered around an investment in each artist’s personal and professional wellbeing. Alex has adjudicated a number of competitions, and has annually served as a judge for the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition since 2018. He has also joined the juries for the Juilliard School’s Honors Recital Auditions, McCammon Voice Competition, the Opera Birmingham Competition, the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music’s Opera Scholarship Competition, Schmidt Vocal Arts’ Undergraduate Vocal Competition and the Academy of Vocal Arts’ Giargiari Competition.

Considered one of the greatest sopranos in the world today, Latonia Moore’s 2025-26 season includes the roles of Bess in Porgy and Bess at the Theatro Municipal de Saõ Paulo and Serena in the same opera at The Metropolitan Opera and Houston Grand Opera. She will also perform Liù in Turandot at Music Hall Detroit, as well as Strauss’ Vier Letze Lieder at the University of Arizona in the Spring. During the 2024-25 season, Moore performed Musetta in La bohème at the San Diego Opera, Mahler’s Eighth Symphony with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the title role in Jenůfa with The Cleveland Orchestra. Additional operatic highlights include Dead Man Walking at The Metropolitan Opera, Terence Blanchard’s Fire Shut Up in My Bones at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Tosca at Opera Australia, La bohème at Semperoper Dresden, Otello at Bergen National Opera, Porgy and Bess at English National Opera, and an appearance at the 50th Anniversary Gala of The Metropolitan Opera.

Andreas Melinat is Vice President, Artistic Planning at Lyric Opera of Chicago where he collaborates with general director John Mangum and music director Enrique Mazzola on Lyric’s repertoire and casting. He is responsible for negotiating the contracts of the principal singers, conductors, directors, and choreographers engaged by the company. He also participates in the selection of the young artists of The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center. He regularly hears auditions in America and Europe on behalf of the company and has served on the jury for many vocal competitions, including the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition as well as those sponsored by the Richard Tucker Music Foundation, the Dallas Opera Guild, the Opera Guild of Dayton, Young Texas Artists, the Jensen Foundation, and for the Marian Anderson Award.
