At the Alliance of Families for Justice ("AFJ") we are paving the way for civic engagement of families of incarcerated people and their loved ones. By providing them with access to supportive services, training and information, AFJ mobilizes and empowers this distinctly marginalized group of people. Thus, they cease being overlooked and their important voice in the public discourse about mass inca

rceration and the welfare of their loved ones is heard.

It is a privilege and an honor to lead the Alliance of Famlies of Justice and to work with such dedicated and talented staff and board members. We are excited about this new venture and its enormous potential for long-lasting change. Our team of activists, advocates and staff bring years of direct experience in challenging the unjust practices of the NY State prison, criminal and juvenile justice systems.
