We’re celebrating 10 years of the YANA–Dwight Hall Summer Fellowship! 🎉

Since 2017, this alumni-funded program has helped 43 Yale students take on unpaid summer internships in areas like healthcare access, refugee support, housing, and public defense.

Students like:
✨ Melangelo Pride ’26, helping Tennessee families access healthcare
✨ Hameeda Uloomi ’25, teaching ESL to refugees..and so many more!

For many fellows, this experience wouldn’t be possible without support from this community.

Meet Melangelo Pride '26. This past summer, she helped pregnant women and new mothers in Tennessee navigate healthcare coverage at the Tennessee Justice Center.

She's one of 11 Yale students YANA supported in 2025 through our fellowship with Dwight Hall. Many of these students come from first-gen or low-income families and can't afford an unpaid summer. YANA changes that.

We turned away qualified applicants this year because we didn't have the funds.
