Something to think about:
If you are creating some sort of registration form with age categories and your form looks like this:

Please check your age group:
age 18-29,
age 30-45,
age 46-60
age 60 +

Notice that the form stops at age 60. Ask yourself why.

If you have a reason, please state it.

If you do not give a reason, and you stop collecting data on people over 60, you may be giving the impression to younger folks that the over 60 age category is irrelevant and it may make folks over 60 feel unseen or invisible.

The takeaway: On your form, be clear about the reason you are asking about age. If you don't need to know whether someone is over 60, you might state that reason explicitly, so people understand.

Be aware that adding older age categories can actually fight implicit ageism by planting the mental seeds that everyone's age is important, no matter how old.

Have you read yesterday's NYTimes article "Women Have Been Misled About Menopause" by Susan Dominus? (See link below).

If so, you may have thoughts, comments and a good deal of outrage about the lack of attention and care people receive about menopause and the lack of education doctors are given about a sometimes decade-long life event affecting 50% of our population.

You may also have questions about your own peri-menopause-post-menopause experience and how to find solid, knowledgeable and responsive care if and when you need it.
