Hi everyone! I hope the start of your week is going great!

I am double bracing for a bit! My everyday leg brace on my left leg and for now an extra ankle brace on the right. I have picked up this ankle brace today in hopes it helps me heal more quickly and I plan to now wear it during future adventures that involved too much walking for my Cerebral Palsy body to handle.

Oh! Fun fact; for the first 13 years of my life I actually wore 2 leg braces, one on each side.

The past couple of weeks have been very very busy and my body sure feels it! Two weeks ago my best friend, along with a couple of her siblings, flew out here to Florida to visit. The plan for her to come visit me was already planned months ago, with the recent tragedy of my sister's unexpected passing I was so much more grateful to have their company here. I have been struggling mentally everyday since the lost of my sister. For months I have been so excited to have their company here, but the week they were here meant so much more to me now than how much it already meant originally. Jesse and I were sad to see them leave. How blessed am I to have such great friends

We are currently recruiting children with bilateral cerebral palsy to participate in a research study investigating a new activity-based intensive postural and reaching control intervention. Participation is free and will involve twelve training sessions (3x/week for 4 weeks) that last 2 hours at our Morningside Heights campus in Manhattan.
