There have been many misrepresentations of the Hudson River Park Neighborhood Improvement District (NID). Ultimately the NID is about making your Park and streets SAFER, CLEANER, and GREENER.

The NID will help protect the Park and ensure that it has the maintenance and operations funding it needs. Further, the NID will help connect the Park with the adjacent neighborhoods by maintaining the bikeway and the 9A median, providing safer crosswalks across 9A, and other greening and public space initiatives in the District.

Hudson River Park is a cherished part of Manhattan’s West Side. But, funding gaps are making it more difficult for us to maintain Hudson River Park in a way our community deserves.

Hudson River Park Neighborhood Improvement District is trying to provide sustainable funding for the Park by placing a very small assessment on neighboring property owners and we need your support to ensure the park can stay as beautiful in the long term as it is today.
