Ahead of International Women’s Day and CSW, we gathered for a small, private breakfast with our board member Jane Fonda to reflect on the urgent intersection of women’s leadership and climate justice.

Alongside Margot Wallström and members of the Frontline Women’s Fund team—Jessica Neuwirth, Katrina Avilla, Jarai Sabally, and Maddie Milligan—we were joined by a small group of allies and advocates to mark the launch of the Jane Fonda Gender and Climate Justice Fund.

As Jane reminded us:
“Women take the brunt of it. They plant the seeds, they harvest the crops. They fetch the water, they chop the wood.”

“And it’s the local people, often led by women, that are leading the way.”
