Hi everyone,

This holiday season, the NY Metro ACRP Chapter is celebrating the spirit of giving through The Giving Tree! Whether or not you’ll be attending our upcoming holiday party, there are meaningful ways to participate and help brighten the holidays for hospitalized children and their families.

🎁 How to Give:

Purchase a Gift: Choose an item directly from the NYP Kids (Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital) Amazon Registry.
Bring a Gift or Monetary Donation: If you’re attending the holiday party, you can bring your donation with you. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please email us at [email protected] for details, or feel free to bring your monetary contribution in person to the holiday party.

Can’t Attend? You can still contribute by purchasing from the registry or donating monetarily. All funds and gifts will be split evenly between NYP Kids and University Hospital in Newark.

If you make a donation, we’d love for you to share your support! Post this image and tag us New York Metropolitan Chapter of ACRP to inspire others to join the cause.

Beyond the Protocol: Decision-Making and Critical Thinking in Clinical Research

In this session, we will examine barriers impeding effective decision-making and critical thinking in clinical research, including cognitive biases and information overload, and provide tips and scientifically based tools to help study team members navigate difficult decisions. Criteria for fostering a positive decision-making environment, emphasizing transparency and open communication, will also be examined. Attendees will engage in a thorough analysis of the deductive and inductive reasoning processes inherent to clinical research decision-making. By session's end, participants will emerge armed with empirically grounded strategies to navigate complexity, cultivate critical thinking, and drive impactful outcomes in their clinical research endeavors.
