From the Archives: "Can You See Us Now?"

Inspired by The Wear Orange Campaign, Art Start youth wrote and produced an original song and created the story for this video that expresses their thoughts on gun violence.

Join us for our June Creative Session in MKE today, 6/10, 4:30pm-7pm @ Art Start! We'll be hosting a night of collage and fashion as we channel contemporary artist, Deborah Roberts, reject conventional beauty standards, and create the perfectly collaged 'fit.

All monthly Creative Sessions are free, open to all young creatives ages 14-24, have hands-on art-making, snacks, and other young creatives to expand your network. RSVPs are appreciated but never required (form.typeform.com/to/WCE4IzHW)

MKE Community - the deadline to apply for Art Start's Creative Career Summer Internship has been extended to June 4th!

Art Start's Creative Career Summer Interns support the design and ex*****on of summer projects, including a youth-curated group exhibition and The Artist Statement public art project. Interns' work will be showcased at Art Start Studio during Milwaukee’s Summer and Fall 2026 Gallery Night MKE.

Interns also create a professional portfolio/lookbook, resumes, and business cards, gain networking experience, and receive college readiness support and access to mental health resources from experienced Art Start staff.

Just a few days left to apply for Art Start’s Creative Career Summer Internship in NYC!

We are seeking young artists ages 14-19 who want to be paid to create, develop their portfolio, and explore careers in the arts and creative industries this summer!

Eligible candidates must be high school age (including graduating seniors), can commit to working 10 hours per week, and have an interest in the creative arts- all disciplines/backgrounds welcome!

Join us from 3pm-6pm on Saturday, May 23rd at AP3 (324 N. 12th St.) for their Open House, which will include live printing, a member exhibition in the new House of Rad Gallery, and artist talks! This will be a great opportunity to network with local artists and support the greater MKE creative community.

Anchor Press, Paper & Print (AP3) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) community-based printmaking studio. Their goal is to create a community space for all to gain hands-on experiences with printmaking practices. They aim to accomplish this through education, studio access, and community partnerships.
