As we honor Juneteenth, we not only reflect on a pivotal moment in American history, but also celebrate Black culture, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice.

At AFSP, we recognize that mental health is deeply connected to the lived experiences of identity, community, and history. The legacy of systemic injustice continues to impact the mental health and well-being of Black communities today. It’s why our commitment to equity in mental health advocacy, resources, and care must be unwavering.

A lot of men on job sites are good at saying, “I’m fine,” even when the data shows that many aren't.

This , check in on someone who always says they’re good. You don’t need a perfect speech. You can start here: "I care about you, and I've noticed you haven't been yourself lately. You seem frustrated, and I'm wondering how you're doing."

This , American Foundation for Su***de Prevention - New York City Chapter continues their tradition of bringing together su***de prevention and drag. 🏳️‍🌈🎤✨

Joe Fontana, a volunteer for the AFSP NYC Chapter, reflects on last year's successful event. "Our drag extravaganza brought together four incredible drag performers, including two extremely talented former queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race, for one incredible night to benefit AFSP and help bring su***de out of the darkness and onto the stage."

This year, the chapter will host the event in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as a tribute to those from the community lost to su***de or affected by su***de. The event will feature drag performances by Out100 honoree, Marti Cummings; RuPaul's Drag Race season 12 contestants, Jackie Cox and Brita Filter; and Britain's Got Talent season 18 finalist, Jasmine Rice LaBeija.

Join AFSP’s New York City Chapter at their third annual Drag Away the Stigma event takes place Saturday, June 20 at House of Yes in Brooklyn. Get tickets: https://giving.afsp.org/event/drag-away-the-stigma-nyc/e776477
