Friday, May 17: Whitney Biennial opens to the public, while Decolonize This Place and affiliated groups and artists occupied the museum for the 9th consecutive week, demanding removal of its board member Warren Kanders, CEO and majority owner of Safariland, a company profiting from tear gas and other weapons used against people who stand up for rights.
