Kappa Delta - Eta Iota at Pace University

Our chapter was installed March 11, 2007 and is one of two national sororities on the Pace University New York City campus. [email protected]

Kappa Delta inspires its members to reach their potential by offering opportunities for leadership, personal development, academic success and community service, all in the context of true friendship. Our chapter is led by officers who are elected annually by the chapter members. The Eta Iota chapter is currently the largest Greek organization on campus. Eta Iota also holds the highest grade point

average of all Pace organizations and has received the Academic Excellence award at Kappa Delta's National Convention for the past two biennium. This past week, sisters Nicolette and Brianna had the opportunity to attend the annual Fall Gala of !
The NYSPCC helps families work through trauma recovery, advocates for children, provides therapeutic supervised visitation, and conducts school-based workshops for the prevention of child abuse. This gala celebrated The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s incredible work and helped raise funds to continue impactful programs. Eta Iota is so grateful for our chance to make a difference in children’s lives through our work with the NYSPCC.
Be sure to mark your calendars for our annual Holiday Drive on December 7th! From 6-8 in the student center, we will be collecting donations for children 13-18 this holiday season!

Why KD Wednesday from sister Marissa!💚🧸
Hi, I’m Marissa! I’m a senior Film and Screen Studies Major with a minor in Photography and Communications.

I transferred to Pace last year for the start of my junior year. I heard about Kappa Delta at the club fair in the fall of 2022 and was interested in the community aspect of the sorority. On night one, I instantly fell in love with Kappa Delta because of the sweet girls I had talked to and the genuine bonds that I saw each sister had. The whole weekend was such a great time learning about the sisterhood and philanthropies of the chapter. Even though I still tell her now, I have to give a huge shoutout to my big, Caroline, who was the ultimate reason I had joined. I am so lucky to have her as my big and someone who I admire- love you! I never really believed people when they said they had a gut feeling that they were in the right place, until the second day of recruitment when I heard all the great things about Kappa Delta, that’s when I knew I was meant to be a KD!

During the new member period, I got to bond with the other new members and our Set Leaders (Shoutout to Kate- she is now my roommate

This week’s Why KD Wednesday is sister Angelina!

Coming from a southern state, I grew up surrounded by sorority culture. I had been dreaming of going through recruitment and serving on a council of a sorority since middle school. When touring colleges, Greek Life was something that was a non-negotiable for me. Kappa Delta drew me in with their values such as building confidence and sisterhood. I went through formal recruitment as a freshman, and quickly became involved serving on COB committees and as a member educator. I served on council, and one of the highlights of my KD career was being elected by my peers to lead them. I also had the opportunity to visit our national headquarters and connect with some amazing women. On a more personal note, I have met my best friends and roommate through Kappa Delta. I know we will stand together at each others weddings, become aunts to each other’s future children, and continue to support each other through whatever life throws at us. I also have had the opportunity to build a beautiful family of my sweet little and g-little through KD. I joined KD looking for this type of support system, and through many laughs and tears, Kappa Delta ultimately was what brought me these gifts I get to call my friends. I have been fortunate enough to not only feel the love of these friends, but give my love and support to others as well. Just as much as I hold the memories of dancing at formals and playing games at sisterhood events close to my heart, I also value the times I have comforted a sister going through a hard time, offered advice and encouragement to younger members struggling to reach goals of theirs, or went out of my way to ensure every sister felt welcome at an event. Kappa Delta has made up the bulk of my college experience, and has left a mark I will not forget anytime soon.

Yesterday marked 126 years of Kappa Delta💚 We are so grateful for all the love found in our chapter and couldn’t be prouder of our organization! Happy belated Founders Day!
