Our Vice President Dr. Betina Idnay recently immersed herself in Lake Sebu in support of our shared mission, bridging her leadership within The Dreamweaver Collective with the ancient, rhythmic stories of the T'boli craftmanship.

As a New York-based Nurse Scientist and Clinical Solutions Architect at Anterior, her visit reinforces our commitment to blending professional innovation with tradition to ensure our master artisans' sacred narratives are celebrated globally. 🛶✨

The T’boli artisans weave more than textiles; they weave a way of life that honors people, culture, and the environment.

Grounded in ancestral knowledge, their process embraces natural materials, slow creation, and mindful use of resources, reflecting a long-standing harmony with nature. Every thread carries intention, patience, and respect—for the land that provides, and the traditions that continue to guide their hands.

This is not just craft, but a living expression of sustainability passed down through generations—one that reminds us that care for culture and care for the environment have always been deeply connected.

This Sustainability Month, let’s help ensure that traditions like these continue to thrive by choosing to support, value, and uplift the T’boli artisans and their craft.

Sustainability isn’t just a conversation for the future—it’s a choice we make today.

As we celebrate Sustainability Month, we’re highlighting abaca: a natural fiber that shows how materials can support both people and the planet. In Lake Sebu, abaca plays an important role in sustaining communities, preserving cultural traditions, and offering a more responsible alternative to synthetic materials.

Every strand reminds us that sustainability is not just about what we use, but who we support and what we choose to continue.

A few days of firsts, stories, and sacred threads. 🌿✨

We recently had the joy of hosting our Vice President, Dr. Betina Idnay, for her very first visit to Lake Sebu. While she’s usually navigating complex systems as a Clinical Solutions Architect at Anterior, this trip was all about returning to the heart of The Dreamweaver Collective. 🛶

From witnessing the rhythm of the art of weaving to hearing the narratives of our master weavers, these moments reinforce why we do what we do. Our partnership is built on this — bridging innovation with tradition to ensure T’boli artistry thrives for generations to come. 🧵

Keep an eye out as we share more from her journey!

As Women’s Month comes to an end, we want to look beyond the finished crafts and honor the women carrying the dreams of their families and the vibrant future of our entire T'boli culture. Today, we’re sharing the quiet strength and resilient hearts that keep our heritage alive in Lake Sebu.

This legacy is built on the shared leadership of women like Anita and Chita, whose collective work bridges tradition and opportunity for their fellow artisans. Their vision is strengthened by Estrellita’s spirit of generosity in the face of setbacks, and grounded in the personal devotion of women like Anding, whose love for her children and their education fuels every stitch she makes. Together, these women stand as the true pillars of our collective, each one a vital link in the survival of our heritage.

Their stories remind us that our heritage is woven from much more than fibers and beads; it is built on sacrifice, leadership, and a deep, enduring love for our identity. Whether it is through T’nalak, intricate beadwork, or the passing down of sacred traditions, they are ensuring that the T’boli way of life flourishes for generations to come.

Our commitment to these dreamweavers continues. Swipe through to meet the hands that turn our history into hope. 🕊️✨

This Women’s Month, we honor the women of Lake Sebu whose strength, knowledge, and dedication continue to sustain the T’boli weaving tradition.

For generations, women have carried the responsibility of preserving the arts and crafts of T’boli people— passing down skills, stories, and cultural meaning from one generation to the next. Through their work, culture and tradition is not only remembered, but continuously practiced and protected.

Celebrating Women’s Month also means recognizing the communities where women quietly shape culture, support families, and ensure that heritage lives on.

The photos used in this post feature members of the Lake Sebu community. We extend our thanks for allowing these photos to be shared:

Parental and family consent was obtained prior to sharing the images of the children, recognizing the importance of protecting and respecting minors when publishing photographs.

Their presence reflects the generations of women and families who continue to keep T’boli culture alive.

This International Women’s Month, The Dreamweaver Collective recognizes the countless women across the world — across cultures, communities, and borders — whose courage, creativity, leadership, and compassion continue to shape the world we live in. Some lead from the front, others lead quietly in their homes, workplaces, and communities. Some are recognized for their work, while many continue to make an impact without ever being seen.

Yet in all the ways women show up, boldly or softly, publicly or behind the scenes, their influence is undeniable.

We celebrate the women who pave the way, the women who lift others as they rise, and the women who are still discovering the power of their own voice. Your stories, your resilience, and your dreams matter.

This month and every month, we stand in solidarity with women everywhere, honoring the journeys that brought us here and the possibilities that lie ahead. 💜🌍
