Trees New York Trees New York (TreesNY) is a 501(c)3 environmental nonprofit organization.

Our mission is to plant, preserve and protect New York City's urban forest through education, active citizen participation and advocacy.

Check out the tree guards we installed at the St. Lawrence Triangle in the Bronx! Tree guards protect and keep tree beds clean. This is part of our Greening the Bronx project. The YUF interns worked alongside Francisco, the lead arborist at The Evergreens Cemetery . He demonstrated and helped our with planting their 250th year celebration tree! After successfully planting our , we helped prune a line of trees in the cemetery to assist with general upkeep. So far this summer, they are an average of 45 per day!

The visited Baisley Pond Park to practice their skills. During the visit, NYC H2O led a great watershed engineer project. The interns connected tubes together to demonstrate how NYC gets our clean water from the many reservoirs throughout our state. It was a great lesson on water ecology and how the protects our watersheds. Thank you !
