Our members had a great day volunteering for March for Babies on Saturday at Energizer Park (the beautiful new St. Louis Soccer Stadium!)

The U.S. is among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color. The March for Babies helps make America a more equitable place and ensure every family is healthy. This event is just one way the JLSL helps make our community safer and stronger.

✨ Flashback Friday ✨

On June 11, 1958, the Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach debuted its “What League Girls Do” chart following the launch of the League Service Bureau. The display highlighted how League members were actively serving the community through partnerships with children’s hospitals, historic preservation organizations, and many other local causes.

The chart was part of a larger exhibit for a Benefit Ball held on June 11, 1959 at The Cavalier Beach Club in Virginia Beach, an event that raised critical funds to support the League’s growing community work.

As we celebrate 125 years of the Junior League Movement, this moment reminds us that women have long turned vision into action through organized service, collaboration, and leadership. How is your League making an impact today?

from the Junior League of Orange County, California.

Yesterday evening was a wonderful Service Learning event with Generation Her! We wrapped up our spring Period Products Drive with a delivery of 4,087 feminine products to Generation Her.

We also provided instruction for their Life Skills Workshop focused on healthy cooking — using two recipes from our very own JLOCC cookbook! Generation Her participants during the month of June will receive a copy, donated courtesy of JLOCC.

It was exciting to hear more about their newly launched “Lead Her Forward” mentorship program, which is supported by a JLOCC micro-grant awarded last month. The program supports moms toward personal development, leadership skills, and mental and emotional wellness.

We’re so proud of how this community partnership has grown over the past year and can’t wait to see what comes next!

The mental load isn't just about what gets done, it's about remembering, planning, organizing, and managing it all. Through Every Woman. All Things., we're shining a light on the unseen responsibilities women carry every day and why recognizing them matters.

This week, identify one task you carry that could be shared, delegated, or simply let go. ✨

Today was a special day for our community as we celebrated the opening of the new Period Pantry alongside our incredible partners at United Way of the River Cities’ Project Period and the Cabell County Public Library. Before the ribbon cutting, volunteers came together to pack 100 hygiene kits that are now ready to be distributed to community members who need them most.

This pantry provides free menstrual and hygiene products with dignity, accessibility, and compassion for women and girls in our community. As the first publicly accessible outdoor period pantry in Huntington, it expands access beyond traditional indoor locations and allows essential products to be available anytime they’re needed.

We are so proud to be part of a project that helps remove barriers and supports our neighbors in meaningful ways.

📍 The pantry is located outside the Cabell County Public Library at 455 9th Street in downtown Huntington and is available to anyone in need.

We beat the rain ⛅️

Last Saturday, the Junior League of Bronxville was back out with Feeding Westchester for another Mobile Food Pantry, wrapping up just in time before the rain rolled in.

From fresh produce to pantry staples and prepared meals, tables were filled and ready as volunteers worked together to ensure neighbors had access to nutritious food in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Moments like these are a reminder that it’s not just about what’s distributed, it’s about connection, consistency, and showing up for one another, week after week.

Thank you to our incredible volunteers and partners who made it all happen ❤️

✨ Flashback Friday ✨

In honor of Barbara Bush’s birthday on June 8, we’re looking back to a special moment from 1985, when she was captured in conversation with members of the Junior League of Dallas. Barbara Bush herself was a proud member of the The Junior League of Houston, Inc., where her lifelong commitment to service and literacy took root.

This candid exchange reflects the shared values that connect Junior League women across communities. A belief in service, collaboration, and education has always been at the heart of the Movement. Moments like these remind us that meaningful change often begins with conversation, connection, and collective action.

As we celebrate 125 years of The Junior League, we honor leaders like Barbara Bush who championed literacy, strengthened communities, and inspired generations of women to lead with purpose.

Earlier this month, our Kids Connect committee hosted a Match Event for children in the foster care system to spend time together in a fun, relaxed environment with potential adoptive parents! We were excited to welcome Solé from the Tampa Bay Sun to join in on the fun as well.
