✨ Throwback Thursday ✨

In honor of Ronald McDonald House Charities Day of Change next week (October 15), we’re looking back to 1993, when the Junior League of Toronto helped support the opening of Ronald McDonald House in Toronto, providing comfort and care to families facing medical challenges.

During the early 1990s, the Junior League of Toronto focused on Helping Parents Raise Healthy Children, partnering with community organizations to strengthen family support systems. As part of this work, the League helped establish a Drop-In Centre at Ronald McDonald House, creating a welcoming space for parents in need.

That same year, JLT hosted its fourth Designer Showcase fundraiser at Ronald McDonald House II, raising funds for League programs and contributing over $1 million to the Toronto community—a powerful example of women-led impact in action.

As we celebrate 125 years of The Junior League, we honor this legacy of compassion, collaboration, and community care.

🥪 50 sandwiches, one meaningful night of service! 💙

Last week, JLCW members came together at Wayside Cottage for our first Lifting Up Lunches sandwich-making night, preparing 50 fresh lunches for our local community.

Lifting Up Lunches brings our members together each month to turn a little time and teamwork into a tangible impact. Through hands-on service, we’re helping provide nourishing meals to neighbors in need while connecting with one another along the way. 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, and helped make our first night a success! We can’t wait to do it again next month. 🥪✨

JLSB had the best time volunteering at the She. Is. Beautiful Run in support of Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara! 💗🏃‍♀️

Our members handed out goodie bags, cheered on the runners and brought plenty of energy to the finish line. We stayed until the very last runner crossed because every accomplishment deserves to be celebrated! 🙌

We were proud to support an event that brings women and girls together while celebrating strength, confidence and empowerment in our community. 💕✨
