It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we learned of Dr. Walt Frey and his wife's passing last weekend in a vehicle accident in McCurtain County. For those of you who have attended past birding conventions, Walt was the emcee for all eleven of them. His quick wit, different perspective, and exotic bird collections brought a lot to the table for convention participants. We have lost an invaluable member of our committee and county. Heartfelt sympathy, thoughts, and prayers goes out to his family.
