On Sunday, August 16, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, will celebrate the Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at Soorp Asdvadzadzin Church, in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, on the Feast of the Assumption. The Divine Liturgy will be followed by the Blessing of the Grapes with the participation of New England's clergy and the traditional picnic.

Ուրբաթ, 7 Օգոստոսին, Թեմիս բարեջան Առաջնորդ՝ Գերշ. Տ. Անուշաւան Արքեպիսկոպոս, այցելեց Ս. Ստեփանոս եկեղեցի (Ուոթըրթաուն, Մէսէչուսէթս), ուր դիմաւորուեցաւ հոգեւոր հովիւ՝ ԳԵրպ. Տ. Հրանդ Ծ. Վրդ. Թահանեանի կողմէ։ Անոնք նախ միացան խումբ մը երիտասարդներու որոնք վերամուտի առթիւ յատուկ պահարաններ կը պատրաստէին համալսարանական ուսանողներու, ներփակելով աղօթքներու և օգտակար գիտելիքներու տրցակ մը: Այնուհետև անոնք այցելեցին խոհանոց, ուր Հոգաբարձութիւնը և կամաւորներ կը պատրաստէին համադամ ճաշեր Կիրակի օրուան դաշտագնացութեան համար:

Սրբազան Հայրը բարձրօրէն գնահատեց Հայր Սուրբին գլխաւորութեամբ ժրաջան կերպով աշխատող բոլոր կամաւորները և մաղթեց որ ամենայն յաջողութեամբ պսակուի իրենց զոհողութիւնը:

On Friday, August 7, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, visited St. Stephen{s Church (Watertown, Mass.), where he was welcome by Very Rev. Fr. Hrant Tahanian, Pastor. They first joined a group of young people who were preparing special packages of prayers and useful information for college students. Afterwards, they visited the kitchen, where the Board of Trustees and volunteers were preparing meals for the Sunday picnic.

Archbishop Anoushavan highly appreciated the work of all volunteers headed by Very Rev. Fr. Tahanian and wished them success in their efforts.

Շաբաթ, 8 Օգոստոսին, գլխաւորութեամբ Թեմիս բարեջան Առաջնորդ՝՝ Գերշ. Տ. Անուշաւան Արքեպիսկոպոսի, եւ կազմակեպրութեամբ՝ Ս. Ստեփանոս եկեղեցւոյ (Ուոթըրթաուն, Մէսէչուսէթս) հոգեւոր հովիւ՝ Գերպ. Տ. Հրանդ Ծ. Վրդ. Թահանեանի, եւ յատուկ յանձնախումբի մը կողմէ, տեղի ունեցաւ հեծանիւի արշաւ մը, եկեղեցիէն մինչեւ Պոսթըն՝ 20 մղոն կտրելով Չարլզ գետի երկայնքին, մասնակցութեամբ՝ 18 հեծանուորդներու։

On Saturday, August 8, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, led a bicycle ride organized by Very Rev. Fr. Hrant Tahanian, Pastor of St. Stephen’s Church in Watertown, Massachusetts, and a steering committee, going 20 miles from the church to Boston along Charles River with the participation of 18 riders.

ՄԵՐ ՀՈԳԵՒՈՐ ԵՂԲՕՐ՝ Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. ԳԱՐԵԳԻՆ Բ. ՎԵՀԱՓԱՌԻՆ ԴԱՏԱՐԱՆ ԿԱՆՉՈՒԻԼԸ ԿԸ ՆԿԱՏԵՆՔ ԱՆԸՆԴՈՒՆԵԼԻ ԵՒ ԴԱՏԱՊԱՐՏԵԼԻ

Երկու Վեհափառներս մնայուն կապի մէջ ենք իրարու հետ եւ կը խորհրդակցինք մեր Հայրենիքն ու ազգը յուզող խնդիրներու շուրջ։ Մեր խոր ընդվզումը յայտնեցինք Գարեգին Վեհափառին եւ նոյնիսկ առաջարկեցինք դատարան չներկայանալ եւ իր ներկայացուցիչը ուղարկել։

Կոչ կ՚ուղղենք պետական պատասխանատուներուն, ինչպէս յաճախ կատարած ենք, յարգալից վերաբերմունք ցուցաբերելու մեր եկեղեցւոյ ու Վեհափառին անձին նկատմամբ եւ հարցերը քննելու փոխադարձ հասկացողութեան ու պատշաճութեան սահմաններէն ներս՝ յարգելով պետութեան օրէնքները եւ եկեղեցւոյ ներքին կարգն ու կանոնը։

The weeklong Datev Summer Program concluded with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy (Soorp Badarak) and the graduation ceremony at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church in Ridgefield, New Jersey. The celebrant and homilist was the Very Rev. Fr. Vache Balekjian. Following the Divine Liturgy, a requiem service (hokehankisd) was offered in memory of the deceased Datevatsis and benefactors of the Institute.

Following the services, students enjoyed a generous luncheon graciously hosted by the pastor and Board of Trustees of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church, lovingly prepared by the Ladies Guild, and sponsored by the New Jersey chapters of the Armenian Relief Society—Agnouni, Bergen Armenouhi, and Shakeh.

Many thanks to the entire Sts. Vartanantz community for its warm hospitality, generous support, and longstanding commitment to the St. Gregory of Datev Institute Summer Program.

Day five of the Datev Summer Program featured more educational sessions, prayer services and reflections, a lively talent show—where the Datevatsis showcased their many and varied talents— and a joyful bonfire gathering.
