On behalf of the Gottscheer KUV, we offer our very deepest condolences to Alfred Fink, of Glendale, NY, Eddie Fink, and the extended Fink family, on the passing of his sons, brothers Ernest Fink born (July 19,1958) and Jeff Fink (born April 28th, 1966), on Friday, Oct. 2nd, 2026. Both Ernie and Jeff succumbed to devastating illnesses after fighting the good fight!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Ernie is survived by his son Justin Fink of State College, PA. Jeff leaves behind his life partner Linda Tscherne residing in Middle Village, NY. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Alfred, Eddie, Justin, Linda and extended family during this very difficult time!!
RIP, Ruhe in Frieden Ernie & Jeff, both of you will truly be missed 💙💙💙💙

Arrangements are as follows:
Visitation - Wednesday, Oct. 7th-Werst & Labella Funeral Home
71-41 Cooper Ave, Glendale, from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm
Cremation - Thursday, Oct 8th, 11 am - All Souls Chapel and Crematory in Astoria, NY

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research

The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.

On March 8th, we celebrated our 125th Anniversary! It was a day filled with great music by , delicious food served by , awarding our annual scholarship and 50 year membership pins, and an overall amazing time! The afternoon ended with delicious dessert from ! Thank you to all those who came out and celebrated our exciting milestone with us! As we celebrate, we also remember the strength of our founders and the reason why our organization and the many others in our Gottscheer community were started - to keep the tradition of our ancestors alive for many generations to come! Thank you again, and we look forward to another amazing 125 years! ✨🩵🤍
