Information for Humans

Information for Humans Communication and Display of Information Information For Humans helps you visually explain to others: 1. How something works. Why something is important.

We want processes that follow rules and create predictable results. Some processes involving people go in straight paths; others in cycles and arcs. By seeing these paths and variations, we can better understand why results can be so varied. 2. How two or more things relate to each other. We often wish that things in life would follow rules and predictable behavior. But complex relationships influ

ence the strength and direction of a phenomenon or a behavior. Seeing these relationships gives us more insight into possible outcomes. 3. We often define importance by size and magnitude. But economic and social value is also relative to hidden opportunity costs and tradeoffs. When we see those added to the total, it often changes what we belive to be valuable.
