πŸ”“ New knowledge unlocked! πŸ”“

We are thrilled to share that our Center has published new research in Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience. This study is the world's first to use patient-derived spinal cord organoids in progressive MS research, and it uncovered a key protein deficiency + dysregulated gene expressions that may explain why the brain and spinal cord lose their ability to repair myelin.

Twenty years ago, Dr. Sadiq signed a post-it note and changed the landscape of MS research.

It's so fitting that this , the Tisch MS Research Center of New York and International Multiple Sclerosis Management Practice (IMSMP) celebrate 20 years of a model found nowhere else in the world: physicians and scientists working side by side to bring breakthrough research directly to patients.

The results speak for themselves:

βœ… 4,500+ patients treated from 31 countries
βœ… First FDA-approved stem cell clinical trials for progressive MS
βœ… World's first animal model specific to primary progressive MS
βœ… First MS patient-specific cerebral organoids
βœ… 140+ early-career scientists trained through our RA program
