Honoring our roots and caring for our elders. 🏛️💙

The Society of Kastorians “OMONOIA” New York is honored to present a $50,000 donation to St. Michael’s Home! This gift represents the next step in our $250,000 total pledge to support the construction of their new, state-of-the-art facility in Uniondale, Long Island.

For generations, St. Michael’s Home has provided essential, compassionate care for our elderly community in a loving Greek Orthodox environment. We are proud to stand with them as they build a bright new future.

Our delegation was honored to present the check to His Grace Bishop Andonios of Phasiane, Director of St. Michael’s Home, and Haeda B. Mihaltses, President of the Board of Trustees.

To our incredible members: thank you. Your continued generosity makes this philanthropy possible and keeps our Kastorian heritage and culture thriving. 🇬🇷✨

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Society's members and friends went on a trip to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was a beautiful day, and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to visit these historical landmarks together.

The Statue of Liberty is a universal symbol of freedom, democracy, and international friendship. It was also very interesting to visit the Ellis Island Museum of Immigration, which displayed so much history from the immigrants who passed through the island.

Upon returning to the Society, our President, Konstantinos Patsios, warmly greeted all the guests and along with the help with Takis Kitsos and Theodoros Kontopoulos had a delicious dinner ready for everyone.

We thank Leo Bevolas, the Chairman of this event, and the Society's Board Members. We hope to organize more great trips in the future.
