A not for profit organization established on August 7, 1910 when 42 Kastorians met and officially founded the Kastorian Society “Omonoia” of New York .

Σήμερα είχαμε τη μεγάλη χαρά και τιμή να βραβεύσουμε νέους ανθρώπους που ξεχώρισαν για την προσπάθεια, την επιμονή και την αφοσίωσή τους στη μάθηση.

Ο Σύλλογος Καστοριέων «Η ΟΜΟΝΟΙΑ» Νέας Υόρκης για πολλά χρόνια, στηρίζει έμπρακτα τους νέους της Καστοριάς, προσφέροντας υποτροφίες σε αριστούχους μαθητές. Για εμάς, αυτή η προσφορά δεν είναι απλώς μια οικονομική ενίσχυση. Είναι ένα μήνυμα αναγνώρισης και ενθάρρυνσης: η προσπάθεια αξίζει και η αριστεία πρέπει να επιβραβεύεται.

Κυριακή των Αποδήμων στην Καστοριά 🇬🇷❤️

Σήμερα, στην Ιερά Μητρόπολη Καστοριάς, ζήσαμε μια ιδιαίτερα όμορφη και συγκινητική ημέρα, σε μια εκδήλωση που έχει πλέον γίνει θεσμός τα τελευταία τέσσερα χρόνια: την Κυριακή των Αποδήμων, την πρώτη Κυριακή μετά τον Δεκαπενταύγουστο.

Ο Σεβασμιώτατος Μητροπολίτης Καστοριάς μάς υποδέχθηκε με ιδιαίτερη αγάπη και θερμές ευχές για όλους τους απόδημους Καστοριανούς, όπου κι αν βρίσκονται στον κόσμο.

Μετά τη Θεία Λειτουργία ακολούθησε μια όμορφη δεξίωση, μέσα σε κλίμα χαράς, συγκίνησης και επικοινωνίας. Ήταν μια ημέρα που μας θύμισε πως, όσο μακριά κι αν βρισκόμαστε, η Καστοριά παραμένει πάντα μέσα στην καρδιά μας.

Θερμές ευχαριστίες στον Σεβασμιώτατο και σε όλους όσοι συνέβαλαν στην επιτυχία αυτής της ξεχωριστής ημέρας.

Χρόνια πολλά σε όλους τους απόδημους Καστοριανούς!
Η Καστοριά μας ενώνει, όπου κι αν βρίσκονται οι δρόμοι της ζωής μας. 🇬🇷❤️

🎓 Μια βραδιά αφιερωμένη στη νέα γενιά της Καστοριάς!

Ο Σύλλογος Καστοριέων Νέας Υόρκης «ΟΜΟΝΟΙΑ», σε συνεργασία με τον Σύλλογο Υποτροφιών Καστοριάς, συνεχίζει με συνέπεια μια όμορφη παράδοση προσφοράς και επιβραβεύει την αριστεία, απονέμοντας υποτροφίες στους αριστεύσαντες μαθητές του Νομού Καστοριάς.

On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the Society of Kastorians OMONOIA, together with the Scholarship Society of Kastoria, hosted a wonderful White Night event.

The Scholarship Society organized this beautiful evening with dedication, hard work, and commitment, bringing our community together for a truly memorable celebration.

Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to everyone whose time, effort, and support made this event such a tremendous success. Your dedication and teamwork created an unforgettable evening that showcased the strength and spirit of our community.

On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the Society together with the Philoptochos, celebrated the Feast Day of the Holy Prophet Elias, the patron saint of furriers.

The event was chaired by Mr. Eric Rouskas, a furrier by profession, and Mr. George Andreopoulos, a long-standing member of the Society's Board of Directors.

Members and friends gathered for the Divine Liturgy at Holy Cross Church in Whitestone, followed by a delicious lunch at the Society's Cultural Center, prepared by the Society's President, Konstantinos Patsios.

The Society extends its sincere gratitude to all the volunteers, employees, members and friends whose hard work and participation made this celebration a wonderful success.

We wish many happy returns and God's blessings to everyone celebrating the Feast Day of Prophet Elias 🥂.

On Saturday, June 20th, members and friends of the Society gathered for the annual picnic at Heckscher State Park, enjoying a beautiful day filled with good company, delicious food, games, and raffles. The Society extends its sincere thanks to all of the dedicated volunteers whose hard work and generosity helped make the event such a success. We wish everyone a wonderful and enjoyable summer! 🌞

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Society's members and friends went on a trip to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was a beautiful day, and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to visit these historical landmarks together.

The Statue of Liberty is a universal symbol of freedom, democracy, and international friendship. It was also very interesting to visit the Ellis Island Museum of Immigration, which displayed so much history from the immigrants who passed through the island.

Upon returning to the Society, our President, Konstantinos Patsios, warmly greeted all the guests and along with the help with Takis Kitsos and Theodoros Kontopoulos had a delicious dinner ready for everyone.

We thank Leo Bevolas, the Chairman of this event, and the Society's Board Members. We hope to organize more great trips in the future.

On Sunday, May 3rd, the Benevolent Ladies hosted their Spring Luncheon. The event was a tremendous success, featuring a wonderful turnout, delicious food and even some dancing. Congratulations to the Benevolent Ladies for all of their philanthropic good work and continued dedication to the community.

Some of our members proudly represented the Society today at the Ronald McDonald Annual Walk & Spring Festival. It was a beautiful event supporting an incredible cause. The Ronald McDonald House provides temporary housing and vital support for families of children facing cancer and other serious illnesses. The day was filled with great food, dancing and entertainment. It's truly a wonderful organization worthy of our support.
