CCA Metro utilizes research and engag

ement with industry and community stakeholders to promote the dependable quality and safety that is delivered by trained, skilled and experienced union carpenters and contractors. We actively support investment in public building and infrastructure, private economic development and a regulatory climate favorable to growth and responsible employment and contracting policies. Join us in celebrating Juneteenth. Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of ending slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers led by Major General Gordon Granger landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the Civil War had ended and that slaves were now free. This was two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, which had become official on January 1, 1863.

Our Carpenter Contractor Spring Breakfast and Meeting, held on June 17th, was a great success. This event, in collaboration with the New York City & Vicinity District Council of Carpenters, union contractors, and their associations, provided a valuable opportunity to hear from expert speakers on topics including development at Metropolitan Park, 175 Park Avenue, and dozens of other projects as well as updates on our training and safety efforts.
