Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you well and filled with the same warmth your recent birthday wishes brought to me. Your thoughtful remembrances truly touched my heart, reminding me of the invaluable connections we’ve share over the years. As I edge closer to the bend of 60, I find myself increasingly grateful for these bonds that enrich my life. Thank you, from the depths of my soul.

Now, if I may, I'd like to share something close to my heart with you. This month marks a significant milestone for an organization I hold dear: Youth Action YouthBuild is celebrating its 45th anniversary! We're a small nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of out-of-school and out-of-work youth in Harlem and the South Bronx and providing low income housing to formerly homeless families and people living with HIV/AIDS.

With support from friends like y’all, we've been able to provide these young people with essential skills, education, and opportunities, and stable homes to struggling families, supporting them to break the cycle of poverty and build brighter futures. The generosity of humble and caring people like you all, over the years has made a tangible difference in the lives of countless individuals, offering them hope and a pathway to success.

To commemorate this special occasion, we're hosting a fundraising event, and I'd be honored if you could join us in celebrating our achievements. Your presence would mean the world to me, but if you're unable to attend in person, your tax-deductible contribution would still make a tremendous impact. Every dollar raised goes directly towards sustaining our vital programs and expanding our reach to even more youth in need.

Mega Service and Basketball Tournament day in featuring 5 YouthBuild programs from 3 states yesterday. First, 35 YB students assembled 10 new bunkbeds for a local shelter, then they played some high-level basketball.
