On June 16, 2017 from 6pm - 11pm, The Kappa Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and the Wall Street Alphas Charitable Foundation present SIP: The Ultimate Wine And Spirits Tasting, our annual fundraiser to benefit the Alpha G.E.N.T.S. mentorship program, which develops initiatives that address the plight of young African-American and Latino-American men in the New York City area.

The 2012 Presidential Election Viewing Party on November 6, 2012 starting at 7pm sponsored by Nuvo at Copia located on 307 E. 53rd Street btwn 1st & 2nd Avenue.

With this being the most important election in our lifetime, there is no better place to experience the Presidential Election then at Copia.

The 2008 Presidential Election was historic and this election is just as important. The candidates have diverse opinions on important issues such as the process to revitalize the economy and healthcare, especially with regards to women. Everyone who can vote should VOTE! Everyone should be near a television and among diverse individuals to discuss what the future of America will look like after Tuesday, November 6th, 2012.

Family and Friends

Happy Thanksgiving! This week, many of us gather with family, friends and loved ones to celebrate and give thanks. The Wall Street Alphas Charitable Foundation is proud to be a part of many of these meaningful moments — through the lives we’ve touched through our G.E.N.T.S. mentorship program.

Our mission is to encourage educational goals, foster and assist in community building; leadership development and strategic planning. Through our G.E.N.T.S. (Gaining Essential Networking Tools for Success) mentorship program, our members serve as mentors and meet with the young men in one-on-one and group session throughout the year. They participate in workshops that are both fun and educational. We invite ALL of you to assist the WSACF with achieving its Mission and Goals. This single mission drives all we do.

Over the last five years, YOU have helped us exceed a 95% high school graduation rate of our minority and underserved youth by supporting us in areas like:
- Go-to-High School/ Go-to-College touring - for kids who may never get to visit schools outside of their our communities or even think about going to college.
- Our major fundraisers - your donations to our liquor tasting – SIP, and our black-tie affair “A THINK BLACK GALA”, and our Mile 4 Mentorship endurance team fundraisers have all been huge events for the supports of our GENTS mentorship programs.
- Goal Setting & Career/College Prep – providing college/job search assistance and preparatory courses for the PSAT and SAT tests through our partners and volunteers.
- Personal health & Development - addressing childhood and adult obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke and many other conditions.

This Thanksgiving, I give special thanks to the wonderful people helping us achieve our mission and goals —our Donors, Volunteers, Partners, our G.E.N.T.S. Parents and countless others who provide their Time, Treasury and Talent. By promoting mentorship, we’re helping our youth, our communities, and ourselves, spend many more holidays with our loved ones. Thank you.
