What does your favorite place look like? 🌸🌵🌊
At Cruz Gálvez Boarding School, our students used torn paper and color to bring their favorite places to life — exactly as they see them and feel them in their hearts. 💛
No scissors. Just imagination, color, and joy. ✨
Follow and celebrate creativity with us every week! 🦋

Sometimes the most beautiful things come from broken pieces. 🦋
Our artists at La Posada del Buen Samaritano discovered the ancient art of torn paper — no scissors, just their hands and their heart. It felt hard at first… but look at what they created. 🧡✨
Art has a way of reminding us that even broken pieces can become something whole and beautiful.

The curtain rises on something beautiful. ✨🎨
On May 29th, the students of P.S. 36 took the stage — and reminded us all why art education matters. From classroom explorations of world cultures to a full showcase of visual art, dance, and music, these young artists gave everything they had. 💛
This is the magic we get to be part of every single day. Thank you to every teacher, family member, and supporter who made this night possible. 🙌

Kintsugi Project — Part 2: Broken Into Beauty
They broke it. They repaired it with gold. And it became more beautiful than before.
This is Kintsugi. This is what happens when young artists learn that broken is not less—broken is more.

🎨 Kintsugi Project — Part 1: Creating Beauty
Our young artists began their Kintsugi journey by painting serene Edo-period landscapes—ponds, bridges, nature in its stillness.
Next week? They'll break these paintings. And repair them with gold—learning that broken things become more beautiful, not less.
This is the philosophy of Kintsugi. Stay tuned for Part 2. ✨

Favorite Places: Real or Imagined
Wednesday at P.S. 161, our artists created their dream worlds through collage. Tigers with affirmations. Seabirds serving breakfast. Sky worlds. Cherry blossom forests.
Each student created their own favorite place—and showed us who they are.

What happens when children discover Claude Monet? ✨
Our young artists at Casa Guadalupe explored the world of Impressionism and created their own version of Monet's iconic water garden 🌿💙
Sitting on the floor, brushes in hand, fully focused — they didn't just learn about art history, they lived it. Every pond, every reflection, every brushstroke is 100% theirs.
This is why art education matters. It gives children the tools to see the world differently — and the confidence to show it. 🎨

Three Days in the Mountains of Chiapas
Our young artists explored Indian art through the Taj Mahal, Gond art, and Rangoli designs. Classes taught in Tsotsil. Mothers creating alongside children. Lunch provided twice.
Art connects us across continents—and transforms communities.
Help us continue bringing art to remote mountain villages. Every donation fuels creativity, supplies, and meals for our students. 💜

Today's mosaic-making class in Manhattan was incredible! ✨ Our young artists learned about mosaics—an ancient art form created for thousands of years across Ukraine, Russia, Rome, and beyond. We explored the beautiful dodo bird and emu mosaic at the Museum of Natural History subway station, then our students created their own masterpieces using colorful paper tiles and glass.
From cutting tiles to arranging them with intention, our artists discovered how broken pieces—put together with creativity—become something whole and beautiful.
Litzi's design was particularly stunning—her bold use of space and 3D paper rolling technique showed real artistic vision!
This is what happens when young artists explore world art forms and make them their own. 🎨
