QCH's Pomonok Community Center Community, Diversity & Respect Farmers Market – fresh vegetables and eggs from local farms are sold every Wednesday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Queens Community House has been operating the Pomonok Community Center since 2006, offering a wide range of programs and activities that help improve the lives of individuals and families in the Pomonok Houses and strengthen the community. Family-friendly programming currently available at the Center includes:

After School Program – We provide high-quality educational, recreational, and cultural

activities for children in grades K-5. Summer Camp – Full day, 5 days a week

Leaders-in-Training – an after-school, leadership program for youth in grades 6-8

Youth Food Justice Leadership Program - An after-school program for middle and high school students that promotes an understanding of our food system and healthy eating through activism, critical thinking, and community service. Produce Bags - weekly boxed collections of locally grown produce at affordable prices. Cooking and Eating Together - brings neighbors together for instructional cooking classes, nutritional discussion, and healthy meal sharing. Community Gardening - we have 21 outdoor plots and an indoor hydroponic bed

Pomonok Senior Center - a dynamic center where adults age 55 and older can spend time with neighbors, make new friends, enjoy a hot meal, keep physically active, learn new skills, and give back through
volunteer opportunities. Fitness Room - includes exercise equipment and space for fitness classes
