As New York marks the bleak fifth anniversary of Covid-19’s arrival, residents will remember the fear, isolation and death the virus brought. But many will also remember that New Yorkers found moments of camaraderie, healing and even joy. Ordinary people pulled off extraordinary things during a difficult time, helping neighbors, neighborhoods and the city. And for some, the experience changed their lives in profound ways.

Applications are now open for Venture Farming Institute’s (VFI) 2025 Farm School for new and aspiring BIPOC farmers in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

The program goes from January 9, 2025 - May 3rd, 2025. Classes are hybrid — virtual classes and in-person field visits. Meet other farmers in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

The Film Independent Imaginar Producers Residency is a new program created to support Latine Producers, made possible by The Walt Disney Company and Searchlight Pictures in collaboration with the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) The Residency will support three Latine Producers during a nine-month period.

From Friday, December 9 - Sunday, December 11, visit the first of its kind in Cannabis Educational Retail Experience in New York State, a Workforce Development fair and Community activation event in The Bronx at The Historic Bronx Post Office at 149th Street Grand Concourse, Bronx NY.

Explore a built-out dispensary from the front of the house to the back of the house, learn about how legal dispensaries operate, sign up for Cannabis job training, and learn about job opportunities in the Cannabis industry!
