When we organize, we win.

Thank you to the advocates, nonprofit leaders, and community members who spoke out and demanded that New York City honor its commitments to the organizations serving our neighborhoods every day. City Hall announced today that the administration will reverse plans to delay implementation of Local Law 156 and will fully fund contract advances for human service providers on July 1.

This decision protects critical services, supports nonprofit workers, and strengthens the organizations that New Yorkers rely on every day.

Thank you for standing with us.

📢🚨 When human service organizations don't receive the funding they're owed, New Yorkers pay the price.

Families lose access to critical services. Workers who support our communities face uncertainty. Programs that keep New Yorkers housed, fed, represented, and connected are put at risk.

The city is considering delaying payments to hundreds of nonprofits despite a law requiring 50% advance payments on city contracts.

Our communities deserve better.

Join us and demand that New York honor its commitments to the organizations and workers serving our neighbors every day.

📢 If you can, stand with us.

NMIC tenant leaders joined tenants and housing advocates from across New York City to speak out about rising rents and the impact they have on working families. Together, they showed up to ensure tenants' voices are part of the conversation and to call for affordable, stable housing for all.

Want to share your experience? Join the Rent Guidelines Board Manhattan hearing at Symphony Space on June 16 and make your voice heard before the Board's final vote on next year's rent adjustments on June 25.
