Socks are one of the most needed but least donated items for people experiencing homelessness. This October, we’re doing our part to change that.

From October 1st through October 31st, we’re collecting new socks only to distribute to local shelters. Every pair you donate helps keep someone warm, dry, and healthy during the colder months.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, survivors, families, and everyday heroes whose lives were forever changed.

25 years later, we continue to carry their memories with us. May we never forget the lives taken too soon, the bravery shown in the face of tragedy, and the strength and unity that brought communities together.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Did you know? Hantavirus is a rare but serious illness that can spread through contact with infected rodent droppings, urine, or saliva.

⚠️ Signs & symptoms to watch for:
🤒 Fever or chills
💪 Severe fatigue & muscle aches
🤕 Headaches
🤢 Nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain
😮‍💨 Cough, shortness of breath, or chest tightness

🛑 Prevention tips:
✔️ Avoid sweeping rodent droppings dry
✔️ Ventilate enclosed spaces before cleaning
✔️ Wear gloves and disinfect contaminated areas
✔️ Seal entry points in your home
✔️ Store food securely

🚨🔥 FIRE SAFETY STARTS WITH PREPAREDNESS🚨

La’Dreamer & Daisy Helping Hands Foundation Inc. is committed to keeping our communities safe, informed, and prepared. Knowing what to do during a fire emergency can save lives.

🛑 Remember R.A.C.E.:
R – Recognize the danger
A – Alert others immediately
C – Close doors to slow the spread of fire
E – Exit the building safely (Never use elevators!)

✅ Know at least 2 ways out of every room
✅ Test your smoke alarms monthly
✅ If clothing catches fire: STOP, DROP & ROLL
✅ Once outside, stay out and call 911
