Steven's Background: Steven Pae has over 20 years financial experience and also National Board Member of Ascend.He currently works at Goldman Sachs in the Consumer and Commercial Banking Division. In this role Steven is responsible for consumer lending technology for Marcus.

Prior, Steven was Senior Vice President and CIO and COO of Business Capital Division for CIT Group responsible for technology and operations for the capital businesses across CIT including Equipment Finance, DirectCapital, Lender Finance, and Commercial Services. In addition, Steven was responsible for digital strategy for the commercial businesses in Technology and Operations.

Prior to joining CIT, Steven was Executive Directory and Global Head of Product Development for Electronic Trading at Morgan Stanley. Earlier, Steven was Managing Director and Global Head of Electronic Trading at Bank of America. Prior, Steven was Vice President and Head of Trading Technology at Goldman Sachs.

Hello from the Ascend NYU team,

We hope everyone is well, healthy, and safe during these crazy times.

With everything going on in the world, Ascend has been exploring ways to connect and engage with its members. Ascend New York Metro, our regional chapter, will be launching Ascend Virtual Coffee Chats. After students and professionals submit profiles of their work, current skills, and professional aspirations, the NYM Student Affairs Team (Danny and Kelly) will create matches between professionals and students, form the introductions, and create the virtual chats!

This will take place over our annual Student Mentoring Program, which we are looking to resume at a later date. Please note that this is only available to Ascend members.

Unfortunately, the Recruitment Crash Course event originally scheduled for tonight has been indefinitely postponed due to last-minute scheduling conflicts with the professionals. Ascend wants you! We're looking for new members to help shape the future of Ascend. If you're interested in organizing events, meeting professionals, and networking with our peers at other student chapters around New York, apply to join the Ascend E-Board!

Available positions for the 2019 - 2020 Academic School Year:
1) Marketing Social Media: Manages social media interactions and posts marketing content to all appropriate channels. Creates, maintains and utilizes co-marketing relationships with other NYU clubs
2) Secretary: Takes minutes of each and every E-board meeting. Sends meeting recap to members post-meeting in a timely manner. Assigns tasks and keeps track of them on a tracking platform. Responsible for sending google calendar invites
3) Webmaster: Responsible for creating and maintaining the website.

As a member of the E-Board, you are expected to perform your duties and work with your fellow club officers to lead professional development events, organize an annual business conference, and network extensively with professionals and companies. Please note that this is a YEAR LONG commitment.

Round 1 results: 4/28 (Sunday) 8 pm
Interview dates: 5/2 (Thursday) and 5/3 (Friday)
