The Bronx River Art Center is honored to be supported through The People’s Money (), a citywide participatory budgeting (PB) process where New Yorkers decide how to spend part of the city’s budget to help their communities thrive.

Their funding supports our STEAM initiatives and free afterschool programming for preteens and teenagers in the Bronx, and reflects their community-driven decision-making and local investment in the arts.

As a reminder, from now through June 21, all New Yorkers 11 and older can vote to decide how to spend $4 million of the city budget on community projects. Visit the link in their bio to participate!

We’re grateful to the Howard Gilman Foundation () for supporting the growth of performing arts at the Bronx River Art Center.

This support helps BRAC expand our rehearsal space and strengthen performing arts programs — such as our Annual Bronx River Sounds Performing Arts Festival, returning this weekend — that allow local artists to develop and share their work and lets audiences experience great work within the Bronx.

We are proud to be part of the Howard Gilman Foundation's vision of ensuring NYC-based performers have access to space and resources and audiences have access in their own communities and boroughs.
