NY United

NY United Corporations, big banks and Wall Street are making billions in profits.

We are a coalition of neighbors, community groups, faith organizations and labor united in the fight for good jobs, corporate accountability and stronger communities. We’re standing up for a vision of New York City where everyone, not just a privileged few, has the opportunity to thrive and build a secure, dignified life for themselves and their families. They should be investing in good jobs and

paying their fair share in taxes so we can stop the cuts to education, healthcare, public transportation and other vital city services.

Fast food workers protesting in Ferguson said that their experience striking had helped them know how to organize for justice.

Workers in Kansas City, like others across the country. began their strike actions with a minute of silence and their hands held up over their heads. They're reacting to recent decisions not to indict police officers who killed unarmed African American civilians. Photo: Diane Krauthamer.

Like this if you support ! After about 30 minutes of being on sit-down strike at a Washington D.C. Walmart store for the first time today, Walmart managers started telling these that they would be terminated or punished. This type of illegal retaliation is exactly why the workers are on strike--to tell Walmart to stop silencing them.

This Friday and support Wal-Mart Workers Fighting for Justice and Fair Wages

We support Walmart workers this Black Friday. Their fight is our fight too.

It’s the biggest shopping day in America – and it’s also the biggest chance we have to make some noise.

Share this image to show your support for the brave workers of Walmart!

"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." ~Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

As it is often said that "your vote is your voice," the above quote is extremely fitting as we approach next Tuesday's General Election and cast ballots for state and federal offices that will greatly impact the lives and futures of all New Yorkers and Americans. As the state with the nation's largest income inequality, we cannot be silent this election season. It is our moral duty to speak out and vote.

A big thank you to our faith partners for speaking out this past weekend to their congregants on the importance of voting. on to !!!!

Some economists point to Denmark, where fast-food workers make more than twice what they would in the United States, in discussions about American wages.

Wow

Seems like we can well afford to raise the wage around here.
