Today, we honor some of the world's most courageous and resilient humans, an immensely diverse group to whom we are all indebted for the countless ways in which they generously extend culture, friendship, patience, perspective, challenging truths, and hope to an international community in need of an awakening and an impassioning. Whether yours is the story of a vocal activist leading the call for peace and justice or of a more quietly resolute bearer of hard-won wisdom, we celebrate and stand with you on and every day.
