New Classrooms is encouraged to see both the House and Senate FY26 Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Bills prioritize investment in education innovation at IES.

The House bill maintains $245M for IES research and development directs part of the funding to create a new Innovative Learning Model Development Program—supporting the development and evaluation of individualized, multimodal learning models.

We’re urging the Appropriations Conference Committee to keep this forward-looking language in the final bill.
