HUMANITY-HAITI 2010 (H&H 2010)
Building the people as the foundation to (re) building the country
When Haiti declared its independence over 200 years ago, it redefined humanity. We have to first redefine what it means to be Haitian. Claiming the definition that being Haitian means to function from one’s core* offers the opportunity to redefine humanity. This is humanity evolut

ion– functioning from the core as a foundation of human culture. This is what is being offered to us. H&H 2010…Redefining what it means to Haitian. Redefining what it means to be human. When Haiti first claimed its independence, it was a call to revolution. This is a call to evolution. Revolution is about changing someone else’s behavior. Evolution is about changing one’s own behavior. This is a call to core. We declare the evolution of Haiti…in love. The present strategies being used to rebuild Haiti do not adequately address the MOST critical problem that Haiti is facing: Haitian mentality. We can correct that. The present application of cultural identity politics is both clinically and culturally inadequate. The present economic structure to finance the needed community work is not sustainable.
