Honoring the Women Who Served Our Nation
Worldwide Veterans and Family Services is proud to support and promote Women Veterans Day 2026, a special event organized by the Bronx Borough President’s Veterans Advisory Council in partnership with the James J. Peters VA Medical Center as part of the celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary.

This meaningful event is dedicated to recognizing the courage, sacrifice, leadership, and service of women veterans who have proudly served our country.

COMMUNITY RECYCLING EVENT – QUEENS VILLAGE

Worldwide Veterans and Family Services is pleased to share this community resource as part of our commitment to keeping veterans, families, and local residents informed about opportunities offered by our strategic partners.

Do you have old electronics, unwanted clothing, or leftover paint that needs to be disposed of safely and responsibly? This is a great opportunity to do so free of charge.

📍 Location: Alley Pond Park Parking Lot
Across from 79-25 Wi******er Boulevard, Queens Village, NY

✅ Accepted Items:
• Electronics (computers, laptops, printers, mobile phones, televisions, gaming consoles, and more)
• Textiles (clothing, shoes, towels, linens, bedding, curtains, bags, and other household textiles)
• Accepted paint products in their original, labeled containers

🔒 Data security is guaranteed for all electronic devices.

❌ Not Accepted:
Air conditioners, household appliances, batteries, light bulbs, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, cleaning chemicals, pesticides, leaking paint containers, and other hazardous materials.

Today, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Vanessa L. Gibson for the beautiful and meaningful recognition presented to our President and Founder, Chaplain Marisa Estrella, during the “250 Strong: A Veterans Tribute Brunch” at Bronx Week 2026.

This honor represents years of dedication, compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to veterans and their families. It was truly a special and emotional moment to see Chaplain Marisa Estrella receive this recognition alongside her mother, surrounded by so many amazing people who believe in service, unity, and community support.

Congratulations to all the organizers for creating such an inspiring and unforgettable tribute to our veterans. We had an incredible time and felt deeply honored to be part of this beautiful celebration.

A special thank you to everyone who attended, to all the sponsors and supporters, and especially to for always supporting our mission and standing beside the veteran community.
