On March 26th, The National Park Service hosted a tour of the African Burial Ground National Monument by memorial designer Rodney Leon and Park Ranger Emily Welch in honor of the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Those in attendance included President of the UN General Assembly H.E. Mr. Dennis Francis of Trinidad and Tobago, along with select UN ambassadors and UN Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications Melissa Fleming.
