The organization received its official recognition from the Department of Social Welfare Reg. (DSW/4076) as a Charitable and voluntary, non profit organization (NGO) governed by its own board of directors. The organization’s focus is sister cities initiative and creating lasting and meaningful change in the lives of impoverished and /or vulnerable children. OUR VALUES:

W.E.B. Du Bois said something powerful in 1953 that still resonates today. He was 84 years old. Black Americans were still living under segregation. And the country was celebrating millionaires while millions of people had nothing. He said, "We should measure the prosperity of a nation not by the number of millionaires, but by the absence of poverty, the prevalence of health, the efficiency of the public schools, and the number of people who can and do read worthwhile books."

Du Bois was the first Black man to earn a doctorate from Harvard University. He also co-founded the NAACP and fought all the way until the end for others. He wasn't asking America to stop being successful. He was asking America to stop leaving people behind and calling it success.

On August 27, 1963, W.E.B. Du Bois passed away at 95 years old. A lifetime of wisdom and compassion for others. His words are an important reminder for all of us to help those who are less fortunate.
