Created by SND, Everyone Dance is an inclusive, person-centered program offering free classes, workshops, and performance opportunities for dancers with intellectual and developmental disabilities across NYC. Since 2005, SND has provided accessible, artistically rigorous programming that centers creative agency and shared experience.

A duet that explores internal forces that invite the body to move. What lies beneath the surface of the body, and where does action originate before movement becomes choreography?

This SND commission is based on a movement score drawing from themes and ideas from past repertory, inviting the performers to move through shifting states of identity, relationship, rhythm, and spatial tension, where transformation and relational presence are central.

Choreography by Zev Haworth
Performed by Steven Camacho and Meena Nehme

You See Ghosts follows two people as they pass from the physical realm to a place beyond, tracing a relationship shaped by an undercurrent of darkness. The work investigates how memory is refracted through grief and loss. Drawing inspiration from the narrative of the classical ballet Giselle, the piece reveals a world that becomes increasingly intangible yet increasingly potent with truth.

Sonic Gestures | 2005

Sonic Gestures is a piece for two dancers and live electronics. In the musical score, the raw material is represented by the sounds produced by dancers’ bodies, captured live by a stage microphone. The performers provide the audio material and control the musical rhythmic flow providing a constant feedback between the dance and the digital elaboration of sound.

Premiere: Fabbrica Europa Festival (Florence, Italy), May 2005
Performers: Massimiliano Barachini, Stefanie Nelson, and Andrea Ferrara (live electronics)
Costumes: Maria Rosaria Busia

Original iteration was commissioned and presented by the Florence Dance Center (Florence, Italy) for Corpo al Corpo, October 2004

Supported by: Ongakuaw Studios, Florence Dance Center, Company Blu
